CMC Biopharmaceuticals A/S was incorporated in March 2001.

Its six founder managers, headed up by CEO Mads Laustsen, all previously held senior management positions within the manufacturing and quality divisions of Novo Nordisk A/S and Novozymes A/S.

In March 2008, CMC Biopharmaceutical A/S changes its name
to CMC Biologics A/S.
