Kasper Møller joined CMC Biologics in 2006 as a scientist and has held the position as Principal Scientist (2007) and Department Manager (2008) within development. Beginning in 2010, Kasper lead the Upstream Process Development teams and in 2011 lead process characterization and validation activities. In 2013, Kasper was appointed vice president of manufacturing. Prior to CMC Biologics, he was an assistant professor and faculty member at the Technical University of Denmark for five years conducting research and teaching within fermentation technology and metabolic engineering studies. Kasper has a PhD in Biochemical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark, and pursued post-doctoral studies at Washington University Medical School in St Louis, Missouri.
Robert (Bob) Broeze joined CMC Biologics in 2015 and serves as the Chief Business Officer, responsible for global sales and marketing. He has over 30 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical and contract manufacturing industries including positions as Senior VP, Business Development at Gallus Biopharmaceuticals, LLC (now Patheon Biologics) and Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Executive Officer at Laureate BioPharma. His technical expertise spans research, development, protein characterization, validation, testing and cGMP manufacture of biopharmaceutical products, from pilot to Phase III clinical and commercial scale with a strong emphasis on monoclonal antibody products for therapeutic and diagnostic use. He also held senior positions in R&D and operations at Purdue BioPharma L.P., Bard BioPharma L.P and at Cytogen Corporation. Bob is a graduate of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute where he earned his BS and PhD degrees.
Torben P. Frandsen, PhD joined CMC Biologics in 2013 and is responsible for process development at the Copenhagen facility. He has more than 15 years’ experience in the biopharmaceutical and biotech industry holding various positions within development, quality assurance, manufacturing, and regulatory aspects of new biologics. Prior to joining CMC Biologics, he was vice president at Symphogen with the responsibility for the process development area, where he was part of the successful non-clinical and clinical development of a number of product candidates. Torben has more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and is a frequent speaker at various international conferences. He earned a PhD in protein chemistry from the University of Southern Denmark.
Bent Hygum joined CMC Biologics in 2014 as Vice President, Quality. Bent has 13 years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. His experience stems from various pharmaceutical development projects progressing to Phase 2 PPQ validation and final API manufacturing. Before joining CMC Biologics, Bent held positions as a senior manager in QA, CMC, and Operations at Novozymes Biopharma, and as a team leader and chemist in operations and QC at Novo Nordisk. Bent has a PhD in Biology from Roskilde University, Denmark.
René Bæk Vestergaard joined CMC Biologics in Copenhagen in January 2012 and held positions as Manager and Director in Corporate Finance. February 2016 he was appointed Vice President, Finance. He has more than 20 years’ financial experience from auditing, consultancy and pharmaceutical industries. His prior experience includes Finance position at ALK-Abelló, a global pharmaceutical company focusing on allergy prevention, diagnosis and treatment plus various finance/consultant positions in other industries. He also spent six years as auditor at KPMG. René holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Financial Management from Copenhagen Business School.
A cofounder of the company, Peter Vilby currently serves as senior vice president, engineering and operations support. He has more than 15 years of experience in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. Before CMC Biologics, Peter worked at Novozymes. He has a Master of Science degree in Engineering Science from the Danish Technical University.
Vibeke B. Didriksen joined CMC Biologics in 2013 and is responsible for human resources at the Copenhagen facility. Prior to CMC Biologics, she spent three years as an HR manager in the medical industry, 12 years as a management consultant, doing management training in both public and private organizations, and 12 years as a lecturer at Copenhagen Business School. Vibeke has published a number of books and articles and has been a frequent speaker at HR conferences. Vibeke holds a Master in Human Resource Management and has done research within the career field and HR area.
