Vy Nguyen joined CMC Biologics in November 2014 as General Manager. He manages the startup and day-to-day site operations of CMC Biologics’ Berkeley manufacturing facility. Vy has over 23 years of biopharmaceutical industry expertise in the areas of clinical and commercial biologics manufacturing, strategic planning and operations management from Bayer Healthcare. Vy received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Dominican University of California.
Myles joined CMC Biologics in 2015 and serves as the Vice President of Supply Chain and Project Management. Myles has more than 30 years of supply chain and project leadership experience in the medical device and biopharmaceutical industries. He has been responsible for all aspects of supply chain management with a focus on analyzing and balancing cost, quality and service objectives and leading organizational execution of the objectives. His experience includes working for CTI Biopharma, Dendreon, Beckman Coulter, Chiron and Baxter Healthcare. He has a BBA from the University of Toledo and an MSM from the Krannert School of Management at Purdue University.
John joined CMC Biologics in 2014 and serves as the vice president for process development. Prior to joining CMC Biologics, he held director-level positions at Amgen focused on process development and characterization, clinical and commercial technology transfer, and process validation. John has a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a Bachelors of Chemical Engineering from the University of Delaware.
Mats Nygren joined CMC Biologics in 2011 as vice president, finance. He has nearly 20 years’ experience with high technology, medical, and manufacturing companies. Prior to CMC Biologics, he held financial management positions at Precor and Physio-Control (a division of Medtronic). He also spent six years at Medtronic Corporate in Cardiac Rhythm Management, where he analyzed markets and developed pricing strategies and launch tactics for a line of cardiac products. Mats holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and International Business and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and German from the University of Michigan.
Paul joined CMC Biologics in 2015 as vice president for the quality unit. He has over 25 years of experience in development of protein and small molecule products. Prior to CMC Biologics, he held positions of increasing responsibilities at Amgen and Eli Lilly in operations, quality and analytical development. Paul has a PhD in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry from Harvey Mudd College.
